Chelsea received her Bachelors of Arts in Psychology in 2015 and Masters of Arts in Clinical Psychology in 2017. In 2012 she began working with individuals and families in substance use and mental health difficulties treatment settings. In 2013 Chelsea became certified as an addition treatment counselor. Chelsea has been providing psychotherapy since 2016 and obtained licensure status in 2019. She has completed foundational training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and level 1 training of Radically-Open Dialectical Behavior Therapy (RO-DBT) . She is currently in progress towards completing level 2 training in RO-DBT. In addition, Chelsea has participated in a two day intensive training of Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). In her 10 years of experience, Chelsea has functioned as a case manager, primary therapist, ancillary therapist, group therapist, and substance use counselor. In this time she has facilitated many different topic, skill based, and process focused groups. Chelsea has worked in full service partnership (FSP), residential (RTC), partial hospitalization programs (PHP), intensive out patient (IOP), outpatient (OP), and community settings including high schools. Chelsea values participating in creative pursuits, in particular pottery. She enjoys spending time in nature, believes in the healing nature of laughter and connection, and utilization of complementary treatments interventions with foundations in holistic approaches. Chelsea believes that helpers need help too and as part of that belief, focuses on attending to her own mental health care in addition to be a resource for other helpers.
